Graphite Grease BG600 is a synthetic product for the lubricationofplain bearings, ball and
roller bearings operating at high temperatures. GraphiteGreaseBG600 is formulated from a
blend of fine particle graphite, incorporated into asyntheticfluid, with an advanced non-soap
,non-clay, non-abrasive thickening system. The graphite inthisgrease helps it to withstand
high temperatures and high pressures, and because GraphiteGreaseBG600 does not employ
a clay based thickener, “bake out” and “carbonization” willnotoccur. The product has a
broad operating temperature range, at elevated temperatures(over200°C) the synthetic
base fluid evaporates without carbonising, only a drylubricatingfilm of graphite remains. This
dry film will adhere naturally to metal components andprovideexcellent lubrication even
under the most severe conditions.
In many high temperature greases, limitations to performanceareimposed by the base fluid
and thickener. The base fluid may suffer thermal degradationleavingcarbonous deposits and
the thickener (depending on type) may melt or cause build upofsolid matter, leading to
bearing failure. These problems are overcome with BG600.
